About this item

Details

Chicken Soup for the Soul Classic Adult is a grain-inclusive, balanced maintenance dry dog food made with real chicken and turkey as the first two ingredients. It also includes barley, brown rice, oatmeal, white rice, legumes, fish, duck, fruits, vegetables, and probiotics, making it a moderate-protein everyday diet for adult dogs. It’s designed for digestive health, immune support, and steady energy, and is often considered a reliable mid-range option for dogs that do well on grains.

Available at Patriot Pets & Supplies in Cape Coral, Florida.

Ingredient Information

Chicken, turkey, chicken meal, turkey meal, cracked pearled barley, whole grain brown rice, peas, oatmeal, white rice, faba beans, chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols), lentils, natural flavor, ground flaxseed, salmon, duck, calcium carbonate, salt, potassium chloride, choline chloride, vitamin E supplement, mixed tocopherols, citric acid, dried chicory root, dried kelp, carrots, apples, tomatoes, blueberries, spinach, cranberries, rosemary extract, parsley flakes, plus vitamins and minerals (vitamins A, D3, E, B-complex), and probiotic fermentation products (Lactobacillus acidophilus, L. casei, L. plantarum, Enterococcus faecium).

Feeding Instructions

Feed according to your dog’s weight, age, activity level, and environment. Small dogs (around 10 lb or less) typically require about ½ to 1 cup per day, dogs weighing 10–20 lb require about 1 to 1⅔ cups, 20–30 lb dogs about 1⅔ to 2¼ cups, 30–40 lb dogs about 2¼ to 2¾ cups, and larger dogs proportionally more depending on size and activity level. Puppies, pregnant, or nursing dogs require increased feeding amounts due to higher energy needs. When switching to this food, transition gradually over 7–10 days, slowly mixing it with the previous diet to avoid digestive upset. Always provide fresh drinking water and adjust portions to maintain a healthy body condition.
