Feed according to your dog’s weight and adjust based on activity level and body condition. As a general guide, small dogs up to 10 lbs need about ½ to 1 cup per day, 10–20 lbs need 1 to 1½ cups, 20–30 lbs need 1½ to 2 cups, 30–40 lbs need 2 to 2½ cups, 40–60 lbs need 2½ to 3½ cups, 60–80 lbs need 3½ to 4¼ cups, and 80–100 lbs need about 4¼ to 5 cups daily. When switching foods, transition gradually over 5–7 days by mixing increasing amounts of the new food with the old diet. Always provide fresh drinking water.
