Why it works

A basking bulb and a UVB bulb in one dual fixture is the standard setup for bearded dragons, uromastyx and similar desert species. UVB output fades long before the bulb burns out, so plan on replacing the UVB bulb every six to twelve months; a replacement bulb pair is available separately.
