Feed according to your dog’s weight, age, and activity level. As a general guideline, dogs up to 10 lbs may be fed 0.25–0.5 cups per day; 10–20 lbs, 0.5–1.25 cups; 20–30 lbs, 1.25–1.5 cups; 30–40 lbs, 1.5–2 cups; 40–60 lbs, 2–2.5 cups; 60–80 lbs, 2.5–3 cups; and 80–100 lbs, 3–3.25 cups daily. Puppies, pregnant, or nursing dogs may require significantly more food depending on life stage needs. Always transition gradually over 5–7 days when switching diets and provide fresh water at all times.
